PRESS INVITATION

Demolition & Recycling Village: talks and workshops

In association with

At the trade show INTERMAT Paris (23 - 28 April)

Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre

The demolition sector, with turnover in excess of €1 billion and representing more than 1,000 contractors in France, is, like all construction specialities, undergoing deep transformation. At all stages of the building cycle, contractors must adapt in order to respond to - or anticipate - new environmental standards, innovate to work increasingly in urban settings, train their staff in new skill areas and working methods, etc. To address all these subjects, INTERMAT Paris has organised the Demolition & Recycling Village in association with the French National Demolition Contractors Association (SNED).

Located at the heart of the “Earthmoving & Demolition” sector, the Demolition & RecyclingVillage highlights four main themes: recycling, wastemanagement, safety and dust suppression.

Several talks and round tables with SNED

SNED will kick off the Demolition & Recycling Village program with a talk on the future of demolition professions (Monday 23 April at 2 pm). Following these discussions, an Innovation Award will be presented to one of the partners of SNED and SRBTP (Monday 23 April at 3.30pm).

The area will then host five other round tables:

- Issues and outlook for technical development in the field of compact electric machines (24 April at 10am);

- Waste from building and public works (24 April at 3pm);

- Issues and outlook for technical development in the field of high-reach excavators (26 April at 10am);

- Dust: presentation of INRS guide on demolition dust, and discussion around tools and best practices to be adopted (26 April at 3pm);

- Concrete cutting and drilling: safety in the cutting/drilling field: issues, technical progress and training (27 April at 11am).
