The INTERMAT Observatory: establishing a close relationship with the market
The INTERMAT Observatory of construction market is being launched in order to enable constant and regular liaison with application markets and offer both exhibitors and visitors of the show a forward-looking vision of ongoing and future construction and infrastructure projects.
Using perspective to better identify potential
Beyond being just a trade show, the intention is to establish a strong and close relationship with the market so as to place the machinery and equipment displayed at the event into perspective, and identify and present the major projects in France and in certain high-potential and developing regions of the world.
The INTERMAT Observatory is a market intelligence tool for construction projects up to 2025 – 2030 in certain regions of the world and notably in France. Its aims are to:
- Provide in-depth knowledge of the industry in INTERMAT’s target countries,
- Identify high potential markets for our exhibitors,
- Activate synergies between our exhibitors and foreign decision makers.
Detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis by country
For each country studied, an analysis will be conducted using national key indicators (geographic and commercial data, macroeconomic indicators, short and medium-term economic growth) and industry key indicators (top 3 main machines and tools imported and exported, top 3 main machine and tool exporting countries).
The analysis will cover a market potential comprising 7 sectors: airport infrastructure, port infrastructure, roads, railways, bridges & tunnels, mining and quarries, residential buildings and functional buildings.
A detailed analysis of the main imports of machines and tools and their local usage based on the 4 sectors of expertise at INTERMAT Paris: EARTHMOVING & DEMOLITION, ROADS, MINERALS & FOUNDATIONS, LIFTING, HANDLING & TRANSPORTATION, BUILDINGS & CONCRETE SECTOR.
7 to 10 projects identified per country from the 7 sectors examined
The main projects completed, ongoing, and planned for the future will be mapped with their factsheets, type of financing, locations players and stakeholders, amounts of investment, descriptions and timelines.

The Observatory by Intermat Paris and Business France targets 12 pays in the EMEA zone.
