Description
Dana’s hybrid-electric telescopic boom lift demonstrates the company’s leadership in supporting OEMs with Spicer® Electrified™ hybrid and electric drivetrain solutions that enable OEMs to make a smooth transition from current internal combustion engine-based vehicle architectures.
Using the JLG M600JP telescopic boom lift as a base platform, Dana’s demonstrator AWP is equipped with more than 30 Spicer® drivetrain and Brevini® motion products to illustrate how Dana contributes to the performance, efficiency, safety, intelligence, and systems integration of hybrid and electrically driven vehicles.
This machine features a non-traditional configuration that includes a Spicer axle and Spicer wheel drives to demonstrate Dana’s wide range of electrification solutions.
It also illustrates how Dana’s wide selection of Brevini® motion products for work functions can support the unique power distribution requirements of hybrid- and electric-powered off-highway vehicles.
The vehicle performs a series of typical driving and working maneuvers to show how Dana manages energy routing optimization, contemporaneity and priority of machine movements, hydraulic- and electronic-enabled platform levelling capabilities, machine safety capabilities and stability, and electric motion parameters.
Visitors may also participate in a virtual reality experience to visualize how Dana technologies can prevent dangerous machine maneuvers, including limit conditions for platform lift, boom/telescope extension, forward/backward vehicle motion, and platform load.
